Temperate rainforest ancient grove coloring page
Huge moss-covered trunks with spreading roots stand around a forest floor of reddish needles, with ferns at the front. Download the A4 or US Letter PDF, then use the colored model for inspiration.
About this scene
Look at the roots on the left: they snake across the ground in thick green ridges before vanishing under the needles. Start with the big trunks in brown and moss green, then fill the floor with a warm rust color. The fern fronds at the edges take patience, so save them for last with a sharp pencil.
